Continuing off of the “What if there were 2 Kaidans?” topic from earlier,  I really liked the scenario brought up by jelenedrake about what if it was like the Doctor Who episode The Girl Who Waited, where there was a young and and old Kaidan…  the young Kaidan being a pre-ME2 version, and the old Kaidan being the ME3 version who has been so utterly changed and shattered by all the loss, conflict, heartbreak and doubts that the younger one never went through. 

To visualize his change better, I compared his two selves side by side.  Even just by his outward appearance, you can see how years of this has taken its toll on him.

This is so cool.

The Happy Accidents of the Suspended Oscillation Device

A Mass Effect-themed reproduction of the classic painting Les Hasards Heureux de l’Escarpolette (aka, The Happy Accidents of the Swing) by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. I made this for the Mass Effect 3 Romance DLC Initiative.

I regret that FemShep is in a frilly pink dress, although I tried to make up for that by giving her golden combat boots. I pretty much had to do this piece, though, once challenged to reproduce a classic painting with a Mass Effect romance theme. Really, depicting Kaidan as the clueless Old Husband and Garrus as the Young Lover in the Bushes was too funny not to do.
